Equality

Equality Objectives
 To promote cultural development and understanding through a rich range of experiences, both in and beyond the school.
 To monitor and promote the involvement of all groups of pupils in the extra curricular, including leadership opportunities, especially pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, looked after children and pupils from minority ethnic groups.
 To actively close gaps in attainment and achievement between pupils and all groups of pupils; especially pupils eligible for free-school meals, pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, looked after children and pupils from minority ethnic groups.
 To promote positive attitudes through the curriculum to difference and good relationships between pupils with different backgrounds, genders, cultures, faiths, sexual orientation, abilities, ethnic origins and those with disabilities.
 To provide an environment that welcomes, protects and respect all members of the community i.e. school staff, parents, pupils , local residents and organisations that have a stake in the school’s success.
