Year 6 Transition to Secondary School
Preparing our Year 6 children for secondary school is an important part of their personal development. We take a multi-step approach to transition, ensuring they feel confident and ready for this exciting next stage.

• Crucial Crew – Children take part in this hands-on experience to develop key life skills, independence, and awareness of personal safety.

• Transition Days – Our children attend dedicated transition days at their new secondary schools, giving them the chance to experience lessons, meet new teachers, and begin building friendships before September. 

• Strong Secondary Links – We have built excellent relationships with local secondary schools to ensure a seamless transition. We meet with Heads of Year, Headteachers, and Deputy Heads to share important information about each child, helping them settle in quickly and feel fully supported.
