NURSERY OPEN MORNINGS

The dates for our Nursery open mornings are:-

• Friday 10^th January
• Thursday 30^th January
• Thursday 27^th February

SEPTEMBER 2025 INTAKE 

Windhill21 offers a single intake into the Nursery, which takes place in September, following a child’s third birthday.  For entry in September 2025, children must be born between 1^st September 2021 and 31^st August 2022.

We offer the following session options:-

• Morning sessions: 8:30am to 11:30am
• Afternoon sessions: 12:30pm to 3:30pm
• All day sessions: 8:30am to 3:30pm

All children are required to attend a minimum of 5 morning or 5 afternoon sessions per week which are fully funded through the 15-hour Nursery funding.  This funding is available to all children.

For parents/carers requiring all-places, Windhill21 offers a flexible approach.  Children must attend 5 morning or 5 afternoon sessions and parents/carers can add additional sessions.  The additional sessions can be paid for or if parents/carers are eligible for childcare support funding (for working parents) this can be used to cover the additional sessions.

If parents/carers require additional sessions but are not eligible for childcare support funding the cost is currently £22 per session (reviewed annually).

Parents will receive an advance invoice at the start of each half term for any paid sessions.

Windhill21 will use the following timeline for processing applications:

Monday 13th January 2025	Applications open to apply for a place at Windhill21 Nursery
Friday 7th March 2025	The applications system for Windhill21 Nursery closes Deadline for submitting supporting evidence (eg EHCP or Child Looked After).
Monday 10th March 2025	Late applications open
Monday 17th March 2025	Windhill21 will offer places directly to parents by email.  (Email will be from admissions@windhill.herts.sch.uk if you have not received an email, please check your junk folder)
Friday 25th April 2025	Deadline for parents to accept offer for Windhill21 Nursery

To apply for a place at our Nursery in September 2025, please complete the form below (this form will only work when applications are open):

Allocation of a Nursery place is strictly subject to the applicant’s guarantee that the first 15 hours of free childcare funding will be directed to this school.  This guarantee should be confirmed on the Nursery Parent Declaration Form which will be included in your welcome pack.

In the event of more applications than available places, the Governing Body will maintain a continuing interest list (waiting list).  Applications received after the deadline will also be placed on this waiting list.  If a place becomes available, it will be offered to the child who best meets the published admission rules at the earliest opportunity.
